Gasperohlab is an independent company founded in 2025 and based in Toronto, Canada. We design and build custom AI models, programs and applications for the particular people who will use them. Some of our work is released under our own name and some is built with other companies.
Two problems keep AI out of the businesses we build for. General-purpose models do not understand their documents: drawings, specifications, shipping paperwork and contracts carry meaning in layout, codes and cross-references that a chatbot reads badly. And the documents are too sensitive to hand to someone else's model.
We started Gasperohlabto build the alternative: models and software made for one industry's paperwork, running somewhere the client controls, with the source code handed over.
The largest example is MaraponeAI, a construction model and the programs built on it, which we developed with Marapone and which is in use today. Marapone is a separate company. We built MaraponeAI with the Marapone team; Marapone owns and operates it.
We are a small team and we own what we build from design through to operation. That keeps decisions quick and means the people who write the software are also the ones who support it.
Where we build AI, it runs on infrastructure you control. Customer documents are not forwarded to third-party AI vendors and are not used to train anything.
We design for operation from the start: monitoring, updates and support are part of the work, not an afterthought.
The people who design the system also build and operate it, so nothing is lost between a brief and a release.
